We chatted with Nick McLeod, Meat Manager at Champions IGA Long Gully Victoria, to find out what he loves about Lenard’s.

Please tell us a little about yourself, your background and how you came to enter the FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods) industry?

I went straight into a butchery apprenticeship straight out of high school, and I’ve now been in the industry for 24 years.

What do you love most about working at Champions IGA Long Gully?

We are a small store so everyone’s very friendly.

What do you love most about your local area and community? Have you always lived in the area?

I have always lived in the area, and always enjoyed it. It is a very close-knit little town with lots of support, always.

How long have you stocked Lenard’s?

7 years

Do you stock the Lenard’s deli range, meat case range or both?

We stock the meat case range.

Which Lenard’s products do you stock?

We stock the Honey and Macadamia Rolls, Kievs, Burgers, Enchiladas, Baguettes, Schnitzels and more!

What made you decide to stock Lenard’s?

We pushed to stock Lenard’s as the brand has such a good name, and products, with a much higher-end value than other brands.

What do you and your customers love most about Lenard’s products?

Absolutely the quality and consistency of the products.

What is your favourite aspect of the support, ie marketing and sales support offered by the Lenard’s team?

Lenard’s provide great sales support including in-cabinets, sliding shelves, and shelf talkers.

Why do you think Lenard’s products are so popular and have endured for so many years?

Consistency for sure, you know what you’re going to get when you buy Lenard’s

Which Lenard’s products are most popular at Champions IGA Long Gully, and why?

The Lenard’s Honey and Macadamia Roll would have to be our most popular product.

Which is your favourite Lenard’s product, and what do you usually serve as sides?

Lenard’s Chicken Mignons with mashed potatoes, yum!
