One, the brand-new Lenard’s Dubbo Square store!
Are you the sole owner or are there co-owners?
Myself and my wife, Iga, are Co-Directors.
Please tell us a little about yourself, your background, and how (and when) you came to become a Lenard’s Franchise Owner?
I worked in the Lenard’s Dubbo store as a teenager (15-22 years old). Recently I was trying to find recipes for products online and I saw an advertisement for a Dubbo franchise opportunity.
What do you love most about being a Lenard’s Franchise Owner?
Accessibility to some of my favourite products that I used to enjoy. I’m looking forward to creating a great work environment like what I had growing up.
What aspects do you find most challenging?
Not so much a challenge, but it’s been interesting spending a few weeks in Lenard’s Redlynch in Cairns doing a refresher on all the products and processes.
What do you love most about your local area and community? Have you always lived in the area?
I’m a Dubbo product, I have lived here almost all my life! I’ve been involved in many small businesses in Dubbo and love the area and the local community.
Which Lenard’s products do you stock? Do you stock the Lenard’s ready-to-cook range, ready-to-heat range or both?
We stock a comprehensive ready-to-cook range.
What is your favourite aspect of the support provided by Lenard’s, i.e., marketing and sales support?
From the first communication with Len Poulter (Lenard’s Founder and Owner), the support has been fantastic! Travelling to Brisbane was fabulous to be able to meet all the faces behind the email signatures.
What do you and your customers love most about Lenard’s products?
It’s fresh, handmade in-store and, wherever available, I am looking forward to using local products and suppliers to put business back into the local community.
Why do you think Lenard’s products are so popular and have endured for so many years?
It’s a fantastic product! Especially nowadays, people value fresh products. What customers will see in the window will be handmade in-store by local members of the community.
Which Lenard’s products are most popular at your store and why?
We’re yet to find out, but I love the Baguettes, Enchiladas and Mini Strudels.
Which Lenard’s product is your personal favourite, and what do you usually serve as sides?
Mexican Enchiladas with fried rice, corn and salsa; Camembert and Bacon Baguettes with vegetables; and Mini Strudels as snacks.
